Turn the Tide facilitates its training mandate principally through the Walk Thru the Bible platform in fifteen southern African countries. Regional challenges that are being addressed primarily through the local church include HIV/AIDS, leadership equipping, vulnerable children and many more.

Staying up to date – Remember that Walk Thru the Bible’s monthly email update, called PostCards, contains latest news, helpful articles and stories of impact. Importantly, in every PostCards there are also prayer requests. To subscribe to PostCards, click here.
Impact stories on demand – To view all the latest stories of impact at any time, just go to the home page of www.bible.org.za and under ‘I want to‘ click on ‘see impact stories‘. Impact stories are added regularly, sometimes even daily. Stories of impact are indeed an opportunity to praise God.
Prayer SMS’s – There is also a SMS feed sent just to you, a valued partner, with a short praise or petition prayer need. This SMS is only send occasionally, maybe once every two months or so. If you prefer not to receive these SMS’s simply email lee@wtb.co.za and request to be unsubscribed from the SMS. Alternatively, you can reply to the SMS with ‘STOP’ at any time in the future.

LifeChange Instructor’ s Forum – This Forum has recently launched a service to WorldTeachers and others who want to enhance their teaching and presentation skills. Read more here.
WorldTeach – Encouraging saturation Bible teaching. Click here for more on how WorldTeach works. You too can be a part of WorldTeach!
Leadership training – Read here of one story on how the Million Leader’s Mandate is being used in Angola. Turn the Tide is currently working on a youth version of Million Leader’s Mandate, particularly for use in schools by local churches and youth workers.
soccer4children – Children trained in soccer, coached in life. The first Soccer Camp took place in December 2011. Read more and view videos here.
clothing4children – In partnership with clothing4children, Turn the Tide has commenced with the distribution of hundreds of bags of clothing to needy people, primarily through the local churches within the High Impact Network. Read more and view videos here.
Silver Ring Thing – Sexual abstinence and second chances before marriage. With the launch of the DVD-based Project 434, the Silver Ring Thing message can now be facilitated anywhere and at any time. The first Silver Ring Thing live shows since 2007 were staged again in May 2010 (click here to see reports on either the Randburg or Roodepoort shows). Luasanne Congress – The Turn the Tide team was privileged to be able to assist, even in small ways with the hosting of the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelism held in Cape Town in 2010. Click here for the closing article.

Walk Thru the Bible Learning Adventures – The popular Walk Thru Old and New Testament Learning Adventures are being re-launched in 2011. President of Walk Thru the Bible USA, Phil Tuttle, facilitated a kick-off event in Northcliff, Johannesburg on the 30th January 2011 – read more here. This was followed by a three-day instructor training event. See future editions of PostCards for updates on these four-hour learning experiences.
Hosting – Turn the Tide was privileged to host the influential Table 71 in October 2010 and the Walk Thru the Bible Global Consultation in January 2011.
Dialoog – The Afrikaans resources from the innovative apologetics ministry of Roedolf Botha are now available from Walk Thru the Bible. Read more.
Call2All – Motivating the Body of Christ to complete the task – finishing the Great Commission. Turn the Tide is privileged to help facilitate the work of Call2All in South Africa and through Martin Deacon, around the world.
